Residents move into a Midland Heart affordable housing scheme in Redditch

The first residents have moved into a new Midland Heart housing scheme on Foleshill Road in Redditch.

The 15 two-bedroom apartments and houses have  been developed in partnership with Taylor Wimpey and Worcestershire County Council.

People moving into the new homes include Craig Foster and  Maxine Zubeidy.

“This is the first time we have found somewhere of our own,” says Zubeidy. “We previously lived at my mum’s with our daughter Tianna. We love it, we didn’t expect the flat to be so big.”

Jamie Ridd & Chelsey Brady, and their daughter Ava-Mai Ridd had also been living with family prior to securing their new home.

“We haven’t had the best of years, but now we feel more secure, it’s a new start,” said Brady.

Nick Bradley, development project manager at Midland Heart added:  “These new homes will help meet local demand for small affordable homes in Redditch.”
