Midland Heart unveils development of homes for shared ownership in Loughborough
Midland Heart has completed work on a £2.5 million development of homes for shared ownership in Loughborough.
Trinity Gardens, situated on Tulip Crescent has been developed in partnership with housebuilder Morris Homes and Charnwood Borough Council, and consists of 19, one- and two-bedroom homes.
The properties are part a larger scheme developed by Morris Homes, which will bring a total of 200 new homes to the area over the next two years.
Carl Larter, executive director of assets at Midland Heart, said: “The demand for affordable housing is continuing to grow and it is essential that new housing developments have a proportion of homes available for those looking to buy their first home or move to a larger property.
“Over the next two years, Trinity Gardens will provide much needed housing to Loughborough and we are delighted to be able to deliver this part of the scheme to time and budget.”
Once complete, the housing development will include a children’s trim trail to encourage exercise and Morris Homes will maintain the space once all homes have been built.
“Morris Homes seeks to provide a variety of homes for everyone when we plan our developments, which includes community areas,” said Dominic Harman, regional managing director at Morris Homes.
“Trinity Gardens is about creating a sustainable community, with a mix of affordable homes through shared-ownership and those for general sale, all which is close to the local facilities and transport links that Loughborough has to offer.”
