Futures Housing Group retains recognition as Investors in Excellence

A Midlands landlord has retained an award recognising companies that demonstrate a drive to continually improve the way they do business.

Futures Housing Group, which manages around 9,100 homes throughout the East Midlands, received Investors in Excellence accreditation for the fourth time.

Investors in Excellence is a nationally-recognised standard for organisations which use its framework to improve and assess what they do with an aim to achieving high performance.

To secure the accreditation, Futures had to submit a dossier of written evidence, including details of its business plan, its performance data and how it has worked with its own staff to find innovative solutions to business issues.

Lindsey Williams, the housing organisation’s chief executive, said: “I’m really proud that we have been able to retain our accreditation which shows that the way we work and our approach to improvement is nationally recognised as good practice.

“Fundamentally, I think it shows that we have committed and talented people all pulling in the same direction – to help us grow and improve as an organisation and make our services easy to use for our customers.”

Responding to the Futures submission, Sue Harrison, an Investors in Excellence Assessor, had told the organisation: “This is certainly an excellent demonstration of your organisation’s capabilities and testimony to your ongoing drive and determination to see the continuous improvement of Futures Housing Group, especially in the face of increasingly
