Coastline Housing grant brightens up playtime at Redruth school

Coastline Housing’s funding and grants committee has awarded a £1,000 grant to Treleigh School in Redruth.

The money has been used for spraying murals, games and challenges onto the school’s playground to introduce some new fun and learning activities for children at playtimes.

The committee awards grants to support local community organisations, clubs and events that will benefit Coastline tenanyts.

Steve Proctor, headteacher at Treleigh, said: “We are delighted to have received this grant and can already see the impact that the playground markings are having. During lunchtimes, children are using their maths skills through play and developing these without even knowing it. It has really brightened up the playgrounds and will be used for many years to come.”

Jackie Thomson, community investment officer at Coastline Housing, added: “Our customers were really excited to support such a bright and fun project that will have an impact on local schoolchildren’s learning.”
