Elspeth Mackenzie has been chief executive of Thrive Homes since 2009. She has worked in social housing for almost 30 years, starting out as a housing officer before progressing through a variety of jobs in housing management, and then on to senior leadership roles.

Henry Lawson’s career spans more than 25 years in a variety of international technology roles. He joined BSRIA in January 2013 where he focuses on energy and smart buildings. He has an MA from the University of Oxford, and has worked for a number of international organisations in a variety of roles including marketing, product management, IT support, and market research. His areas of specialist knowledge include IT hardware and software, software as a service, and cloud-based solutions.

Jo Savage works for Croftons Solicitors LLP, having joined from Trowers & Hamlins, and she is a highly experienced governance and regulatory lawyer, having worked with registered providers and local authorities since the beginning of her legal career. She is Crofton’s value for money and technical director for housing and regeneration clients.
She is a familiar face in registered providers’ board meetings, where she is involved in drafting board papers and making constitutional changes. She advises on a wide range of joint venture and other partnering agreements, and mergers.
Savage is well known for advising on commercial aspects of contracts, liaising with consultants, negotiating management agreements between local authorities and Registered Providers, setting up group structures including creating commercial organisations as subsidiaries, and advising and acting on vires matters.

Jules Bickers is director of housing for Capita’s property and infrastructure business. He has over 20 years’ housing sector experience across London and East Anglia, and he joined Capita after seven years in private practice. Bickers' key expertise is service transformation, strategic stakeholder engagement, new business development, housing markets and domestic retrofit opportunities.

Keith Searle has worked in the affordable housing industry for over 35 years and is a former chief executive and development director of registered housing providers in London and the South East. He has led some of the biggest and often most complicated development projects in the South, but is also very much focused on producing sustainable manageable homes that meet the needs of the people who are going to live in them. He formed the first large scale merger of two RSLs and has worked regularly for the government regulators where he specialised in leading poorly performing organisations out of supervision. Searle started in housing as a chair of a resident's cooperative and has always retained strong links with residents’ needs.

Luke Maidens is an associate within Shulmans LLP’s property litigation team, with a particular expertise in telecommunications law. He is also an active member of the Property Litigation Association and of the RICS Telecoms and Dilapidations forums.
